The 2025 Rockfish / Cabezon / Lingcod Regulations

  • The Rockfish regulations have changed in 2025. The daily general marine fish bag limit is 4 fish per angler per day. The bag limit is scheduled to increase to 5 fish per angler per day on July 1, 2025. General Marine fish include most of the Rockfish we typically catch. Yelloweye Rockfish and Quillback Rockfish are prohibited for retention.
  • Starting January 1, 2025, for Canary rockfish, there is a daily sub-bag limit of one fish per angler.
  • Open at all-depths year-round, no seasonal depth restriction.
  • Cabezon are currently prohibited and will reopen on July 1, 2025 with a daily sub-bag limit of one fish per angler as part of the general marine bag limit. Minimum length of 16 inches.
  • Lingcod daily bag limit is 2 fish, separate from the general marine fish bag limit. Minimum length of 22 inches.
